The body of teenager Victoria Couchman was found in a woodland area in Sussex in October 2008. She had been murdered. Not long before she was discovered, her mother received texts purporting to be from Victoria.
Suspicion fell on the teenager's father as the possible author of the texts and Dr Olsson and his colleagues analysed both Victoria's and her father's texting styles. They concluded that the suspicious texts had probably been authored by Victoria's father. Sadly, Mr Couchman died in prison, apparently by his own hand, before this evidence could be tested in court.
