Sometimes forensic linguists handle criminal inquiries where the texts were sent from a mobile phone.
In this case the offender had met his victim on the internet where he pretended to be a much younger male. Later on he successfully lured the young female in to his car under false pretences. This was one of the texts he wrote to achieve that aim.
If you look at this text closely you will realize how cleverly constructed it is: the perpetrator manages to give the impression of being reasonable, re-assuring and amusing at the same time. In his way he deceived his victim in to believing that his 'father' would be picking her up when in fact he was both the 'father' and the 'son'.
